1. What are you grateful for today?
My kids who behaved incredibly well on the 2.5 hour solo-parent drive to my parents house today- first time it’s ever happened.

2. Tell us about one of your friends and what you love about her.
My friend Emily M. She brightens a room and will make you snort laugh by her comment about the most mundane thing. She is super strong. A real go-getter who always stands up for herself, is a stellar mom, and full-time working mom.  She balances it all.  She listens like a rock star, always brings a party and has great fashion sense.  She is generous, charitable, and would take a red-eye any time any where for any of her friends.

3. Describe one of the best days of your life.
Best days, obviously= engagement, wedding, birth of child #1 and birth of child #2/3 (twins). But THIS day was a day at a little surfer town beach called Sayulita outside Puerto Vallarta Mexico.  It is remote, hyper local,  pretty authentic and pretty “surfer town.” It is magical. I was here with my parents, brother, in-laws, husband. It was the best day.  I’ve gone back there twice since and is always a great day.

4.  What’s the best lesson you learned from your mother/grandmother?
Be strong. Don’t let anyone walk all over you. Maintain your own financial independence. Remember to toast to the saying: “Here’s to those who wish us well and all the rest can go to hell.”

5. We’re all unique. What is your special gift?
Public Speaking.

6.  What could women be doing to make their community a better place?
Women need to stop looking at other women’s “grass” and wondering why its SO “green” on the “other side.” It’s not. Everyone is doing their damnedest to be a good mom, businesswoman, wife, daughter, sister, friend. Everyone has their own ups and downs.  They may not be YOUR ups and downs… but they DO have ups and DOWNS.  Be sensitive, caring, and there for each other.

7.  What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
Sing at Cowboy Monkey’s Open Mic Night.
