Angie Hatfield Marker
And Then We Were Mothers
Angie Hatfield Marker is a wife, mother and part-time car saleswoman living in Savoy. A native of Champaign, she graduated from Centennial High School and the University of Illinois. She worked eight years at O’Brien Auto Park of Urbana before retiring from her position as the Toyota Sales Manager when her oldest son was born in 2011. She recently returned to a very part-time schedule at O’Brien Toyota, working a few days each month.
Angie and her husband Dan are parents to two boys under the age of three. She spends her days with them reading books about dinosaurs, playing trains and trying to keep pee off the toilet seats. She loves running with her boys and just completed her first half marathon. She loves to write and was a contributor to the website chambanamoms.com, writing the Wannabe Mom—a popular blog about her bumpy road to motherhood. She served six years on the Board of Directors at Crisis Nursery in Urbana and still sits on their Development Committee. She is lucky to have a sisterhood of good girlfriends, her mom and mother-in-law, her grandma and her aunts to empower her through the highs and lows of this beautiful life.
