And Then We Were Mothers
Rachel Bierman is a recent graduate of Dieterich High School. While in high school she was very involved in many clubs and activities including the National Honor Society and the National FFA Organization. In the fall she will be attending the University of Louisville, majoring in Political Science, with hopes of one day pursuing her law degree. She is attending the university on a full four-year scholarship from the United States Army ROTC program. Along with graduating with her bachelors in Political Science, she will also become a commissioned officer. She is very excited about her future career as a soldier in the United States Army.
Rachel loves to be outdoors, either spending her weekends in the woods or running in a local 5k. She continuously is training to keep up physical standards in the Army, and hoping to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test with a 300. Running is one thing she is very passionate about. She was captain of her high school cross-country team, and just recently completed her first half-marathon. Rachel is currently living with her mom and two younger sisters while packing away her room trying to figure out how she is going to fit everything in her new dorm. Rachel was lucky to grow up in a household highly influenced by women; including her mother, three sisters, grandmother, and two aunts. These ladies have been there for Rachel through everything she has went through in her life, and helping guide her to where she is today.
