Meet Angie Fiala! We’re crazy about her and all her peeps over at O’Brien Auto Park of Urbana!!!
What are you grateful for today?
Today I am grateful for my boss who has been a great mentor and believer in me and in turn I am grateful for my career and the support of my family and friends.
Tell us about one of your friends and what you love about her.
Angie Hatfield Marker. She makes me laugh harder than most people can with her witty sense of humor. She is a great listener and has been a great supporter of me in many aspects of my life and I love her for that.
Describe one of the best days of your life.
It might not have been a whole day, but one of the best moments of my life was when my daughter grabbed my face and looked me in the eyes and told me I was the best mommy ever and then hugged me so tight. I don’t think I will ever forget that moment. It was one of those that will be forever etched in my mind. I am sure I will have to remind her of that moment more than once when she is a teenager.
What’s the best lesson you learned from your mother/grandmother?
My grandmother taught me to live life by the Golden Rule. I try to practice that each and every day.
We’re all unique. What is your special gift?
I’m kinda funny sometimes and can usually get even grumpy people to at least smile a little bit when I interact with them.
What could women be doing to make their community a better place?
Women could love themselves more. I think once you have self-love everything else just flows into place and inspires you to make positive changes and be a positive influence in all aspects of life. That kind of living seems to have a chain reaction if you surround yourself with the right people.
What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
I would take a trip around the world.
