Meet the Team
After eighteen years in the classroom, Kerry Rossow left teaching and found her writing voice on her blog, HouseTalkN. Sharing her life shenanigans, Kerry is a weekly columnist at In The Powder Room. In 2013, following the motto leap and the net will appear, Kerry joined a mission trip to Haiti, became a published author of the best selling anthology, I Just Want To Pee Alone and You Have Lipstick on Your Teeth, and took to the stage as part of the cast in Listen To Your Mother.
Kerry lives in Illinois with her patient husband, her embarrassed children and her naughty dog. She is the mom that makes you feel better about yourself. Email Kerry.
By day, Jenette is the Director of Operations for One Main Development. By night, she is an actress, director, producer, writer, philanthropist, travel agent, and wedding officiant. She was a featured blog writer for Chambanamoms.com, contributing writer for MahometDaily.com, is contemplating getting the novel she has been writing in her head down on paper, and somewhere along the way found the time to get her MBA.
Jenette married her college sweetheart, Brian, after an epic 16 years of “just friends”ship. Her daughters inspire and educate her each and every day on the true meaning of life. Email Jenette.
Amanda, owner of Five Foot Productions (yes, it’s because she’s five feet tall), got her start more than 10 years ago creating videos. Since moving to Champaign in 2009 she’s produced pieces for Visit Champaign County, Visit Chicago Southland, Champaign Park District, 40 North – Champaign County Arts Council, Champaign County Economic Development Corporation, United Way of Champaign County, Illinois Marathon, Hyatt Place, The News-Gazette, Cunningham Children’s Home and many more. You can see her incredible work in all our She Said promos and our web series.
Amanda and her partner-in-crime, Seth, are originally from Rochester, New York and are raising (read: surviving) two tiny humans.
Marketing & Web
Lisa is one of those friends who can often be found in a dark room somewhere, either coding a concoction for the internet or getting wrapped up in a good story on the stage or at the movies. She is a co-founder of ThirdSide, an award-winning web and graphic design company, and occasionally writes for a few blogs around the web, most recently Nerds and Beyond. She is also a Regional Representative for global nonprofit Random Acts, whose aim is to conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time.
Lisa and her husband Jason live in Illinois with their three sons (yes, just like the tv show). Sadly, their adventures don’t come with a laugh track. Yet.
