1. What are you grateful for today?
I am grateful for a job that I really enjoy, good health, my wonderful children and grandchildren, and my faith which gets me through each day.

2. Tell us about one of your friends and what you love about her.
I have a good friend, Karla, who has been through some tough times in the last year but always has a smile on her face and big hug for me every time I see her. She is a lovely young woman who is a single parent to an adorable three year old! She always makes me smile and I love to be around her.

3. Describe one of the best days of your life.
That would be the day I saw my granddaughter for the first time. Being a grandmother is the greatest thing in the world! I have three grandchildren and I love being their grandmother. I also love to be called grandma! Although some women have a hard time with that title, I consider it an honor.

4. What’s the best lesson you learned from your mother/grandmother?
To love God with all my heart.

5. We’re all unique. What is your special gift?
I think I have the gift of encouragement. I love to help people feel good about themselves and find all the positive things about themselves. If I notice someone is down or discouraged I will try to give them some encouraging words.

6. What could women be doing to make their community a better place?
The could get involved with the organizations that are out there to help women with addictions, single moms and their children, and places helping women break free from an abusive situation.

7. What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
I’m terrified of heights so I’d like to be able to go up in the St. Louis Arch or ride to the top of a mountain on a lift.
