1. What are you grateful for today?
Waking up from a good night’s rest.

2. Tell us about one of your friends and what you love about her.
One of my dearest friends, Monise, has been an amazing friend ever since we met. She is the most loving, kind-hearted and caring friend that one can have. If there is one thing in particular that she has taught me, it definitely would be patience. I have watched her remain cool, calm and collected in various situations that was just astounding. Her strength, poise and hard work is a motivation in and of itself. We don’t talk every day, but when we do, the bond remains the same and we  just pick up where we left off. She has definitely been a driving force in my life in more ways than one.

3. Describe one of the best days of your life.
One of the best days of my life is when my father taught me how to ride my bike without training wheels. It seems like it was yesterday, but that’s been some twenty-something years ago. Of course I was afraid of falling and scrapping up my knees, but his message was to just let go and keep trying until I got the hang of it. And that’s what I did. I’ve been cruising along ever since!

4.  What’s the best lesson you learned from your mother/grandmother?
How to cook a Sunday dinner.

5. We’re all unique. What is your special gift?
Listening. Sometimes people just want someone to listen and that’s what I do. It shows I care about what is being said and that I’m here to assist in any way I can.

6.  What could women be doing to make their community a better place?
Volunteer! Whether it’s an hour or two, every bit counts and every bit makes a difference.

7.  What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
Go cliff diving!
