What are you grateful for today?
My guys – Martin, Grant & Jake. They make me laugh more and love better.

Tell us about one of your friends and what you love about her.
I met my friend Carolyn it seems like ages ago. Our lives dip in and out of intersection, but I love that whenever we connect it’s like we were never apart. She has an amazing way of engaging people on a very deep level to see what’s in their heart of hearts. I so admire that! She has a great sense of humor and loves to have fun. A genuine and fun-loving person…the world needs more people like her.

Describe one of the best days of your life.
When I graduated from college. I was the first person in my family on either side EVER to go to college. After working so hard to put myself through school, it was such a sweet success. Getting that diploma felt like I had just taken my first step through a door of opportunity that could take me anywhere.

What’s the best lesson you learned from your mother/grandmother?
The best lesson I learned was to invest in a diverse group of friends…continually. My grandmother, throughout her entire life, has made time to connect with friends. Not only that, her friends are very diverse in age and life experience. I’ve tried to emulate that. My life is so rich because of it!

We’re all unique. What is your special gift?
I can make people talk. I like to be gracious with my time and talents to help people dream big. And for some reason, people tend to share it all with me. It’s such a blast to take the culmination of my life experiences (the good, the bad and the ugly) and somehow use them to make someone else’s life or business better. I love it!

What could women be doing to make their community a better place?
Unapologetically be who they were created to be and follow their passions. I think sometimes we get too caught up in who we think we should be that we forget to be who we are. “Being” might be the very thing this community needs ladies!

What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
I think there’s a tie – start another business (no clue what that would be right now, but I’m keeping my eyes open!) that would make a profound positive difference in lives of people across the globe and/or write a book that would encourage people to be real and courageous.
