What are you grateful for today?
Waking up…with my dog spooning me.

Tell us about one of your friends and what you love about her.
ALL of my Girls are a version of what I aspire to be. They are loving, generous, sassy, warrior like, funny…bottom line they are all so special. I’m such the lucky girl to know them!

Describe one of the best days of your life.
Other than the obvious, a.k.a. Sophie and Terry, I would have to say the opening night party of Texture Home. To have so many friends and family members come out to support our endeavor was extremely humbling. Hard work does indeed pay off.

What’s the best lesson you learned from your mother/grandmother?
One of the best lessons I learned from my mom when I was a teenager was if I was ever in a dicey or unwanted situation, whether by my own doing or someone else’s, to CALL her. No matter when, no matter where she would retrieve me with no parental lecturing involved. There’s a time to be ‘right’ as a parent and a time to be ‘safe’. I’ve passed this one on to my now 16 yr. old daughter.

We’re all unique. What is your special gift?
To assume I have a ‘gift’ is awfully presumptuous. I kinda feel like those who know they have a gift cease trying to work on it. I don’t want to be one of those people.

What could women be doing to make their community a better place?
Find your passion, find your path and go for it. There is nothing that a strong, happy, focused woman can’t do. We are the glue ladies!

What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
Live in a foreign country.
